I'm Tina, the eye, heart, and soul behind the lens here at Tina Stevens-Brown Photography. Based in the sun-drenched landscapes of Arizona, I am a fine art photographer specializing in landscape, nature, and wildlife photography. However, if you want to know what I REALLY do....I chase the things that make the soul ache with beauty.

For me, photography isn't just about snapping a pretty picture; it's about capturing a moment, a slice of time, a wild creature, or a sweeping vista that generates a true, visceral response deep within your core.

The Ritual Behind the Lens

My process is a labor of love that starts long before the shutter clicks. I absolutely THRIVE on the deep-dive research of the areas I visit ~ I mean, in addition to knowing weather, route, great locations to scout and the like, it's important to know where the local coffee shop is located.  Am I right?  

The night before the adventure, there is a specific kind of magic in my routine ~ packing up my gear, setting the alarm for an hour most people call "the middle of the night" and hitting the road before the sun even thinks about waking up.

Whether I'm waiting for that first, explosive beam of morning light or staying put until the sun melts completely into the horizon, I am entirely driven by three things: the light, the composition, and the emotion.

My Favorite Travels and Helpers

I don't wander this beautiful earth alone. Right by my side is my husband - my soulmate, my best friend, and hands-down the best, most supportive photographer's assistant! With our three amazing young men now fully grown and fiercely independent, we have officially entered our "empty nest era," which means more time to pack up the SUV and explore!

Our adventures have taken us from our current base camp of Arizona to the coasts of California, the lakes of Michigan, the wetlands of Florida, and the tropical shores of Hawaii. Because of that, my portfolio is an eclectic love letter to nature. On my site, you'll find everything from the breathtaking depths of the Grand Canyon and the nostalgic charm of coastal lighthouses, to fierce alligators, playful sea lions, and majestic eagles and hawks soaring through the sky.
