"A photograph, for me, freezes a moment in time that, in some way, pierced my soul. Whether it was its beauty, the aroma or fragrance, or the action taking place, somewhere along the line it evoked a visceral response that I did not want to forget. " ~ Tina Stevens-Brown
When I was a child, there were four things I considered fairly consistent in my life - theater, music, writing and photography. They each separately and together helped me navigate through difficult situations, assisted me in processing information, and provided me a pathway to more confdently express my complicated self and feelings.
Today, I still consider those four elements my "dear friends." I consider the world my theater ~ my musical theatre ~ and the melodies, harmonies, and even the dissonance it performs on a moment by moment basis inspire me to write about what I see, hear, feel, and experience. To further immortalize those emotions, I capture them in a photograph where I can perpetually reflect and reminisce about that precious memory for as long as I desire.

In case you wanted to learn a little bit more...
I'm a fine art and editorial photographer with a focus on travel, landscape, nature, and wildlife. I love exploring the world around me and bringing a scene to life, capturing images that evoke emotions and something visceral when someone sees my work.
I've had the opportunity to play many roles in life, from working in and for a medical office for well over a decade to leadership in a "magical" and renown vacation destination, but my heart and soul always return to writing and photography. Even as a child, I was framing shots with my pink disc camera and writing imaginative scripts, poetry, and novellas. Into adulthood, some of what I consider my greatest personal successes during my time as a freelance travel / entertainment writer include receiving media invitations to such locations as New York City, Myrtle Beach, St. Simon’s Island, Branson, and various venues such as Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, Legoland, and Silver Dollar City. I’ve even had the humble (and mind-blowing) opportunity to attend by invitation a World Premiere Red Carpet event in Los Angeles ~ fulfilling one of my childhood! As a result of this and many other invitations, I've had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing some captivating public figures over the years.
Today, I focus wholeheartedly on capturing images that bring my own soul joy. For me, these include scenes featuring landscapes, cityscapes, nature, and wildlife. My husband and I love to travel ~ as we are able ~ taking in our surroundings, the moment, and the opportunity to learn something new. This site is my photographic journal, a collection of some of my favorite works and narratives, so I invite you to join me on my journey. Enjoy the images and stories I share - many of the images available for print on my pixels site (click here).
