Botanicals

Whether the delicate look of a Bachelor's Button or the mighty stance of a towering Sequoia tree, images of such things inspire beauty, renewal and peace.

A pink rose opens in full bloom against a nearly black, softly muted background. Its tightly curled center and generous outer petals make a lovely place for your gaze to settle. You can follow the bloom's spiral outward, where each fold shifts from dusky mauve near the center to brighter rose along the edges. The darker setting gives those gentle color changes room to glow, while the flower's layered shape keeps the eye moving. Shadowed blooms at the edges add a quiet sense of depth, like the main rose has emerged from a pocket of night. If you love the small intricacies of flowers, this one rewards a lingering look: a curved edge leads to another, and the center keeps drawing you inward. The rose leaves an impression of softness, vivid color, and graceful unfolding.
