These rocky ruins are part of the Tuzigoot National Monument that stands on top of a hillside overlooking the Verde Valley, and at the start of an approximately two hour hike around the Tavasci Marsh Trail. The ruins carve out approximately 110 rooms and were believed to be the home to 250 people nearly 1000 years ago. It has excellent placement as water is nearby, stemming from snowmelt, springs, and seasonal monsoon weather, and the views are spectacular, as the eye can see for miles from the lookout.

A view of the Tuzigoot National Monument pueblo from the top looking down the hillside upon which it sits in the Verde Valley of Arizona. The grass beyond the monument is as verdant as the valley for which it is named and the outline of the stone masonry is inspiring and intricate.
