Connecting with our furry, fluffy, and funny little friends out in their own habitat has to be one of the most rewarding opportunities for me as a photographer.  To capture that image of them locking eyes with me, or even watching them play around in their own environment ~ these are moments that bring my soul joy.

Butterflies are fascinating to watch as they flitter from flower to flower, rarely staying put for very long. I was so glad to have captured these two vibrant orange monarchs perched delicately on a few purple blooms surrounded by lush green foliage. The scene is bathed in soft natural light, which allowed for perfect saturation of color. Don't you think?
